Viewing your Graphic
Objective The objective of this section is to place your image in a web page so you can see how it looks. To do this we will be using the editor in Netscape Communicator called Composer. I selected this web editor partly because it is easy to use and it is free from Netscape.
Netscape
Communicator

  1. To start Composer go to the "File" menu and select "New", then click on "Blank Page". You should have a blank window similar to your browser window but with a few more buttons across the top. (see example below of some of the buttons)

  1. Click on the icon that says "Image" below it. The following window is displayed.

  1. Now click on the "Choose File" button and locate your image on your hard drive.

  2. At this point you can experiment with some of the other settings on this window. When you are ready click on the "OK" button.

If you followed the above steps correctly you should see your image in the window, much as it will look on a web page.

The final step of this class is to send me your image, so I can check that you have successfully created an image for the web. To do this attach the file to your E-mail message. I will get back to you within the week with my thoughts.

Good Luck!
