This trumpet shaped, normally yellow flower, has long narrow
leaves and grows from a bulb. Daffodils normally bloom in early spring.
Hypanthium - A saucer-shaped, cup-shaped, tubular, or sometimes rod-shaped expansion of the floral axis that produces floral organs such as sepals, petals, and stamens, from its upper margin. Corona - A petaloid appendage situated between the corolla and the stamens of some flowers, such as Daffodils and Milkweeds. Ovary - The bulbous basal portion of a pistil containing one or more ovules. Ovule - The structure that becomes a seed after fertilization. |
